Casualty confirms Rash Masum’s return date

He temporarily departed the show in April

BBC medical drama Casualty has confirmed when Rash Masum will be returning to screens.

Rash, played by Neet Mohan, left the show back in April to go abroad and said goodbye to his girlfriend Gemma.

However, according to Digital Spy, a spokesperson for the show has confirmed that Neet has been back filming on the Casualty set for a number of months and will be back on screen mid-august.

Details of Rash’s return are being kept quiet, however, Gemma is currently planning on joining her boyfriend.

Back in February, Rash was torn between perusing paediatrics and cardiology.

After Gemma told him to pick whatever made his heart beat faster, he gave Gem a passport application and told her he wanted to go travelling with her before doing several years of training.

Not long later, Gemma’s brother paramedic Iain was found unresponsive in his home by his co-worker Ruby.

Ruby found proof that Iain had overdosed, but he survived.

When Gem’s passports arrived, Rash didn’t let her know as she was prioritising Iain’s recovery.

Later, Gemma encouraged Rash to go travelling without her and he soon set off.

Rash and Gem have been staying in touch whilst he’s abroad but she has struggled to head out and meet him over there.
