Caroline Flack ‘reveals Love Island starts in three weeks’

But has she got her dates mixed up?

TV presenter Caroline Flack may have let slip when Love Island will start up again.

According to a short clip shared on her social media, the 39-year-old former Strictly winner appears to suggest the fifth series will be launched in three weeks’ time.

Caroline told fans she has been hitting the gym hard in preparation of the upcoming run of the ITV2 reality show in the post made yesterday.

Referring to her trainer just after a punishing workout session, she said: “I’ve just trained with Bradley Simmonds and he put me through utter hell, making me do weights that I should not be lifting.

“But he says we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep so we’ve got to work hard.”

Caroline joked: “But to be fair I feel more sorry for Bradley having to put up with my moaning than me having to put up with his training.”

However, it appears Caroline may have tripped over her words as it is believed she may have made a mistake.

The previous two series kicked off during the first week of June – and TV insiders believe that date is a safe bet for when the next set of episodes from Casa Amor will begin, too.

An ITV spokesperson told Entertainment Daily! that it is too early to confirm when the new series will begin airing.

We wouldn’t confirm a [transmission] date at this point,” they said.

ED! has also approached representatives for Caroline for comment.

Following the recent death of former Love Islander Mike Thalassitis it has been reported that show hopefuls will have to undergo rigorous mental health checks before appearing on TV.

Stricter selection processes are reported to have been put in place to ensure cast members are ready to handle the sudden fame that comes with the summer special.
