Bruno Tonioli’s rumoured love interest speaks out

Matt Law says there's nothing going on

Strictly fans were disappointed last weekend when judge Bruno Tonioli was unable to make it to the show, citing other work commitments.

It’s since been revealed that his international jet-set lifestyle – zipping back and forth between London and LA – might be sapping his energy.

And yesterday another piece of the puzzle seemed to emerge, in the shape of 29-year-old underwear and swimwear model Matt Law.

It was reported that 61-year-old Bruno is growing increasingly close to Matt, with a source telling The Sun: “Bruno has really been getting on well with Matt, they enjoy each other’s company.

“They have spent the last few days together in the States and he has been introduced to a few of his friends.

“Bruno is growing increasingly fond of Matt and it isn’t hard to see why. He’s noticed everywhere they go. They were very touchy-feely over dinner and laughing so loudly that everyone took notice.”

Bruno also reportedly brought British Matt to his lavish Hollywood home, after a night at super-swanky LA eatery Cecconi.

Today, however, Matt scotched rumours of a romance, telling The Sun: “He is a lovely, lovely guy. Bruno is the most fun – if you want to laugh to the point where you wet yourself then he is your man.

“We are just friends. It’s been bad enough as it is. My mum has been like: ‘Oh what the [expletive] are you doing?’”

“We are not romantically involved. He gives good advice – in terms of business and work. He has been in the industry a long time.”

“You’ll have to ask him why he missed last week – but Bruno has done the show for a long time and he wouldn’t do anything to jeopardise it. I think the BBC and everyone knew.

“There’s loads of travelling involved in his job – I’m sure it would be tiring for anyone. But if anyone can do it, it is Bruno.

“He has been on top form each time I have seen him on this trip. As always he has been making everyone laugh and been the centre of attention. We had a great time.”

Sounds like Matt’s tired of the gossip – we’re not though, we love a bit of Strictly drama and can’t wait to welcome Bruno back tomorrow!
