Brian McFadden laughs off Dancing On Ice fall after his exit

He's made fun of himself after horror tumble

Poor Brian McFadden was left mortified when he fell over during the skate-off on last night’s Dancing On Ice, but at least he’s kept his sense of humour.

After losing his place on the show, he poked fun at himself for his mishap on the ice with professional partner Alex Murphy.

The former Westlife singer, 38, made a cheeky remark about his faux pas on Instagram.

He shared a photo of his parents laughing with DOI judge Jason Gardiner backstage and wrote: “That moment you drop you’re partner on dancing on ice and your biggest critics love it!!!! @thejasongardiner and my mum and dad.(sic)”

Critical judge Jason has been a big supporter of Brian throughout the competition.

Last night, following Brian’s tumble in the skate-off against Saara Aalto, Jason admitted he would have saved him if it wasn’t for his blunder. He opted to save X Factor star Saara.

Jason said: “It pains me to do this because, had you not fallen Brian, this would have been a very different outcome.”

Brian had the nation on the edge of their seats when he tripped and fell along with partner Alex during their final performance.

He looked close to tears as they hugged on the ice and carried on with their routine.

Brian revealed he feels he has let his fans down after narrowly missing out on a final spot in the competition, but he insisted it was all good “craic”.

He tweeted: “Yes it was sad but it’s been the greatest craic ever!!! And 3 super finalists! @The_JamesJordan @WesNelsonUk @saaraaalto big love to @almurph18 if I hadn’t had butter fingers who knows? Thanks so much to everyone who voted for us and I’m sorry I let you down x.”
