Boy George not impressed with Steve’s fancy dress

The pop legend didn't think Steve's costume was award-winning.

Coronation Street’s Steve McDonald isn’t having the best week.

He has been caught in the crossfires of ex-wife Michelle Connor’s son Ryan Connor who is convinced Steve should still be with his mum.

Hapless Steve hasn’t been able to work this one out so has been bumbling along not realising what is happening.

In last night’s Corrie he ended up at Michelle’s soon to be new husband Robert Preston’s stag do in fancy dress.

Though as if spending a night celebrating your ex-wife moving on with a better man wasn’t depressing enough, Steve’s costume left something to be desired.

While fans loved his take on 1980s era Boy George, the popstar himself was less impressed.

Asked by Entertainment Daily about Steve’s chameleon like costume, the former Voice coach didn’t have much nice to say.

He tweeted: “Nul points! Lol!”

Fortunately for Steve, fans loved it.

One soap fan tweeted: “Steve McDonald dressed as Boy George is the best thing EVER. @itvcorrie @simongregson123 #Corrie”

A second added: “Steve dressed as boy George has made my year @itvcorrie @simongregson123 #corrie”
