BGT: The Champions fans divided over Simon Cowell’s golden buzzer choice

Simon Cowell has divided Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions viewers with his golden buzzer choice.

The judge decided to give Stavros Flatley his golden buzzer, leaving the dancing pair and many viewers absolutely thrilled.

Simon told the father and son duo that he wanted to thank them for being icons of the show.

And to do that, he gave them his golden buzzer.

Many viewers were over the moon.

One person said: “Just crying at Stavros Flatley getting the golden buzzer on #BGTChampions what about you?”

Another wrote: “The only golden buzzer I’ve agreed with on this season! Absolutely love them!”

A third added: “They still put a smile on my face and deserved that golden buzzer.”

However, others didn’t agree with Simon’s choice.

One person tweeted: “Really???? Golden buzzer?”

Another said: “Worst golden buzzer ever! Should have been @PreacherLawson,” referring to American comedian Preacher Lawson.

A third added: “Sorry, but I think that @PreacherLawson should have gotten the Golden Buzzer.”

Stavros Flatley rose to fame on the talent show back in 2009.

They made it all the way to the final, coming fourth behind Julian Smith, Susan Boyle and Diversity, who won the series.
