The series, which sees past winners of the show battle it out to see who’s the champion of champions, is landing later this year.
The show’s tweet read: “Who will be the ultimate champion? Coming soon to @ITV and @WeAreSTV #BGTChampions.”
Fans responded to the tweet in an excited fashion.
“Was at the recording on Wednesday, and going to three more including the final!!! This is going to be amazing!!!!!!” one wrote.
“Omg I can’t wait,” another side.
A third wrote: “It’s gonna be a good series. That’s all I can say about it.”
Connie Talbot, George Sampson and Ronan Park are all rumoured to be taking part.
However, Susan Boyle may be dropping out.
The I Dreamed A Dream singer – who was runner-up on Simon Cowell’s show in 2009 and has become a huge star – could be forced to miss the special series because of scheduling conflicts.
Contestants from international versions of the show are also likely to take part.
Members of the regular Britain’s Got Talent judging panel, which consists of Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, are all expected to return.
