He’s only a few days into fatherhood, but Ashley Banjo has already admitted to feeling the strain, telling fans he is a “tired daddy”.
The Dancing On Ice judge – who welcomed baby girl Rose Adura Banjo on 21st February – took to Instagram to update his followers about his new family member, adding that he’s “feeling incredibly blessed”.
Ashley 30, wrote beside a selfie: “Tired daddy… On the road and missing my Rosie already. But feeling so incredibly blessed! Time for some judging…”
He added the hashtag #DancingOnIce.
There were fears the Diversity star might miss filming on the skating show, if his wife, Francesca Abbott went into labour, but the committed dancer is apparently back on set ahead of tonight’s show.
Ashley and Francesca revealed their happy baby news on Saturday, sharing a sweet hospital pic on Instagram.
The TV star – who shot to fame when he won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 – wrote: “Our beautiful daughter came into the world at 6:45pm on 21st February 2019 – weighing a healthy 8lbs 13oz.
“Her name is Rose Adura Banjo. I am in the deepest love ever with my little family ❤️ @francescabanjo I love you and am so proud #nextchapter.”
The pair married in 2015, and announced the pregnancy in October, confirming they were having a baby girl.
At the time, Ashley admitted: “It has been a more difficult journey to this point than most people know.” But since then the pair – who also have dog Melvin at home – have shared many lovely pregnancy pics with fans.
The last one came just hours before Francesca went into labour, with Ashley captioning the intimate snap: “Waking up early every morning – Just patiently waiting for the bump to become a baby… Any moment now… #babybanjo.”
We’re so happy for Ashley and Francesca. All those sleepless nights will be worth it…
