When he first saw Anne-Marie walking down the aisle in her gorgeous Suzanne Neville dress, Ant admitted he had to “fight back” tears.

He reportedly said: “When Anne-Marie walked into the church, I had to fight to hold it together as she looked so beautiful.”

Phillip Schofield, David Walliams, Christine Lampard and Cat Deeley were all on hand to wish the happy couple well.

When did Ant McPartlin get married?

Ant married second wife Anne-Marie Corbett on August 7 2021.

He was married to Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist Lisa Armstrong before that.

Ant and Lisa were married for 12 years before enduring a bitter split.

They announced their break up in January 2018 and divorced in April 2020.

Lisa reportedly got a £31m settlement as part of the divorce from Ant, and the two share custody of their Labrador Hurley.

Does Ant McParlin have a child?

Ant doesn’t have a child of his own but, now he’s married to Anne-Marie, he does have stepchildren.

According to reports, Anne-Marie’s girls Poppy and Daisy took centre stage at their mum’s nuptials.

The girls are said to have performed readings during the ceremony.

They also acted as bridesmaids for their mum, wearing gorgeous long lilac dresses.

Proud Ant then paid tribute to the girls in his speech at the reception.

And, he admitted, the girls call him “Dad”.

Ant is said to have told guests: “I’m grateful they call me Dad.”

The girls’ dad is Anne-Marie’s first husband Scott Corbett.

They split in 2017, before Anne-Marie started dating Ant the following year.

What is Ant McPartlin’s tattoo?

Ant revealed a new tattoo that he got in tribute to wife Anne-Marie while the pair were on honeymoon.

The popular presenter went topless as he spent time in the sea in the Algarve – revealing new ink on his chest dedicated to his wife.

In photos obtained by The Sun, the design shows a large heart on his left-hand side with the initial “A” etched inside it.

Ant previously showed off his tattoos while filming Down Under for I’m A Celebrity.

And, it’s perhaps unsurprising to learn that the TV presenter’s inkings have a particular significance, bearing in mind what a difficult few years he’s had – including the break-up of his marriage, a drink-drive conviction and overcoming an addiction to painkillers.

According to one tattoo fan, the arrow on his right forearm and the floral design on the left are all nods to his recent troubles.

One said: “That tattoo on Ant’s arm says ‘clean 1 year’ #ImACeleb.”

Another said: “Ant on I’m A Celeb has a mental health awareness tattoo on his arm.”

According to The Sun, a single arrow “stands for power and direction” and can also signal moving forward, as “arrows point the way”.
“With regard to the rose flower design on his left forearm, that can “express promise, hope and new beginnings.

“It is contrasted by thorns symbolising defence, loss and thoughtlessness.”

Last year, Ant revealed he’d had the Alcoholics Anonymous symbol tattooed on the inside of his wrist.

His triangle tattoo inside a circle represents the group’s motto “stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety”.

The star also has an ‘S’ for sober on his right wrist.

Does Ant McPartlin have any siblings?

Ant has three siblings – sisters Sahra and Emma and brother Robert.

However, young Ant’s life was ripped apart when dad Raymond walked out on the family when he was just 10.

As a result Ant and his dad were estranged for more than 30 years.

A source previously told the Daily Mail: “Ray and Ant haven’t spoken properly in years.

“Ray is very proud of his son and everything he has gone on to achieve. But their relationship has been strained for a long time.

“I don’t think Ant has ever forgiven his dad for leaving him all those years ago and they are not close.”

However, Ant admitted while filming Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey in 2019 that the pair were back in touch.

He said: “My dad left the family when I was about 10 and I’ve seen him sporadically over the years.

“I haven’t seen him for a long while now. We didn’t speak for quite a while… but last year we started texting each other and I spoke to him on the phone for my birthday, which was lovely.”

Ant went on to explain that he’d had a change of heart over his relationship with his father because life is too short to hold grudges.

He explained: “I turned 40 and I just thought let’s stop messing about, let’s get in touch because you never know what’s going to happen.”

It’s reported that Ant began building bridges with his father in 2017.

What is Ant McPartlin doing now?

Ant is hosting Saturday Night Takeaway on Saturday nights with his presenting pal Declan Donnelly.

Fans of the show were thrilled when the boys announced the show was to return in early 2022.

They’ve already teased guests including Michael Bublé coming up this series and, with Stephen Muhern on board too, it’s sure to be a riot!

How is Ant McPartlin doing?

Ant appears to be doing well following the devastating drink-drive crash and his stint in rehab.

In 2015, Ant went into hospital for a routine operation to treat his knee.

The surgery was botched and, as a result, he was advised to take prescription drugs to combat the pain.

Over the course of the next two years, Ant became addicted to the drugs.

The summer of 2017 (June) saw him check into rehab to get treatment for his addiction. He stayed in rehab for two months.

Ant then made headlines in mid-March 2018 when he was involved in a car crash and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

The following day he met up with Dec and the pair decided to suspend further presenting duties while Ant went back to rehab.

In April that year he was charged with drink-driving – something he pleaded guilty to.

He was banned from driving for 20 months and fined £86,000 – Britain’s highest-ever penalty for drink-driving.

Ant had previously been banned from driving for 30 days and fined £350 for driving at 127mph on the motorway.

August 2018 saw Ant announce he would be taking a break from television presenting duties until 2019.

He said: “My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.”

As a result, Holly Willoughby covered for Ant on that year’s I’m A Celebrity.

In January 2019, Ant returned to his television duties alongside Dec at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

How tall is Ant McPartlin?

A lot is made of Dec’s height, so how tall is Ant?

He stands at 1.73m tall – or 5ft 8in.

How did he become famous?

Ant has been in the public eye since the age of 12 – his first foray into the public eye was an appearance on kids’ TV show Why Don’t You?.

He then auditioned for new kids’ drama Byker Grove.

Ant won the part of PJ in the show, based around a youth centre, and it’s where he met Dec (who played Duncan) for the first time.

Dec was on the show from 1989, with Ant joining the following year.

The pair stayed on the show till 1993, building a friendship both on and off screen since.

Can Ant and Dec sing?

Well… He’s been in a band and they got nominated for two BRIT Awards.

Ant joined the band PJ & Duncan with his Byker Grove pal Dec.

They started their music career off the back of the show, releasing debut single Tonight I’m Free.

They followed it up with debut album Psyche, with the hugely popular hit Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble.

Their second album, Top Katz, wasn’t as much of a success and the boys rebranded into Ant and Dec and started to forge a path as presenters.

What have they presented?

They started out on kids’ TV, fronting SMTV Live with Cat Deeley.

The show premiered in 1998 and ran until 2003, clocking up an impressive 270 episodes.

It also spawned the miniseries Chums, which the trio revisited in a special Saturday Night Takeaway sketch last year.

After SMTV Live, the boys moved into game shows, fronting Friends Like These, PokerFace and Push The Button.

Talent shows such as Pop Idol and Britain’s Got Talent followed, as did entertainment shows including I’m A Celebrity and Saturday Night Takeaway.

They also fronted Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey, their own gameshow Limitless Win and even appeared in the film Love Actually.

Ant and Dec were also the stars of 2006’s Alien Autopsy.

They’ve also been in adverts or companies including Santander, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer.

Are Ant and Dec related?

Ant and Dec found out that they actually are related during the filming of their DNA Journey show.

The TV duo share the same DNA with a link through the bloodlines of their dads.

Ant said: “That’s brilliant. That’s amazing. That’s remarkable. We’re friends, we’ve got that brotherly connection.

“But it feels even deeper. Doing this show has made us look at each other in a different way.

“We respect each other more,” he said at the time.

Why aren’t Ant and Dec social distancing?

The boys have come under some scrutiny as they continued to work very closely together during the pandemic.

When everyone else was social distancing they were as close as close can be.

And Dec explained why.

“Basically our households are connected and we form a cohort,” he said.

What happened when Ant and Dec pranked Bradley Walsh?

TV gold, that’s what – and they’ve managed to do it not once, but twice!

For an episode of Saturday Night Takeaway in 2020, Ant and Dec snuck behind the scenes at The Chase.

They emptied bins, strutted around backstage in heels and created a fake explosion all while Bradley Walsh was filming.

He got more and more exasperated as the noises went on before the boys finally showed themselves.

The first time the boys pranked Bradley was back in 2005, when they booked him for a fake corporate gig.
