Ant & Dec gave I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers a serious blast from the past on Tuesday night with a cheeky reference to their old Byker Grove days.

In a funny moment, the Geordie duo had fans in hysterics after re-creating their most iconic scene from the ’90s children’s TV show.

When poor old Ant’s character PJ was shockingly blinded after getting shot in the face with a paintball gun. Ah, we still get shivers thinking about it.
The skit unfolded when Dec was teasing Ant about his terrible B.O.
As Ant reached out his arm to point at something in the distance, poor Dec found his face directly in his pal’s apparently stinky pits.
Cue a melodramatic Dec sinking to the ground, covering his eyes and crying: “I’m blind!”
Ant then quipped: “He cannae see, man!”
The whole joked lasted just a few seconds but viewers LOVED it!
One impressed fan tweeted: “10/10 for he paintball / Byker Grove reference from Ant & Dec on I’m A Celeb!”
We agree!
Ant & Dec met as teenagers on Byker Grove before going on to pretty much dominate TV. Oh, and we can’t forget their pop career in between, either!

Meanwhile, in other jungle news, the pair announced last night that YouTuber Jack Maynard had dramatically left the jungle because of circumstances outside camp.
The star’s rep later said Jack had decided to withdraw from the programme in order to defend himself against recent tabloid stories, including criticism of unacceptable tweets he sent as a teenager.
