Amir Khan enrages I’m A Celeb viewers by ‘having a go’ at Iain Lee on Extra Camp

Bullying row continues...

| Updated:

Amir Khan wound up many viewers during his time on I’m A Celebrity thanks to his treatment of Iain Lee – and nothing has changed since he was booted out of the jungle.

The boxer was accused of being a bully once again when he “had a go” at the radio host when he appeared on Extra Camp.

Amir chipped in as Scarlett Moffatt interviewed runners-up Iain and Jamie Lomas and talked to them about their time on the show.

When the Gogglebox star said she’s loved Jamie’s bromance with Amir and Dennis Wise and asked if they would stay friends, Amir – watching in the wings with the rest of the contestants – answered for him shouting out: “oh, definitely, and Iain.”

He then shouted at Iain: “We’re not bullies, we’re not bullies, mate.”

A surprised Iain replied: “I’ve never used that word.”

Amir disagreed then said ominously: “Anyway, we’ll talk about it later.”

His comments infuriated viewers of the spin-off show who said on Twitter that it illustrated once again that Amir was indeed a bully.

They were also annoyed that the Olympian had failed to grasp that it was his own behaviour that had prompted people to call him a bully, and not something Iain had ever levelled against him.

One wrote: “Why is Amir still having a go at Iain? Bore off clearly is a bit of a bully #extra camp.”

Another pointed out: “Oh Amir, quickest way to prove you’re a bully is to say ‘we’re not bullies… we’ll talk about this later’ #extracamp #leaveIainalone.”

A third wrote: “Amir shouting ‘we’re not bullies’. First of all, he never said you were. Secondly, pipe down you bully. #extracamp’

A fourth told Amir he was a bully, writing: “You left Iain out and made him want to leave. That’s bullying.”

Scarlett quickly moved on to diffuse a row breaking out and spoke to Iain about his experiences in the Bushtucker Trials.

But this came back to the bullying again, when she said: “I can confirm it was 50m” when talking about the Temple Of Gloom task he dropped out of because of his fear of swimming.

The cameras then cut to a very forced smile from Dennis, who had made Iain look bad earlier in the series by telling Amir and Jamie that the radio host had exaggerated the depth of the pool and it had been an “easy” trial when he did it a week later.

Viewers also picked up on this, with one writing: “Well done Scarlett Moffatt for confirming the depth of the pool and the camera panned to Dennis Wise get told you horrible little man #extracamp.”

Another wrote: “Well done Iain Lee, you showed them.”

How the celebrities will now get on outside the camp remains to be seen – could there be more rows and ill-feeling or will they kiss and make-up?

Luckily viewers will get to find out as cameras will continue to follow the stars as they return to their plush hotel and have an after-party.

A special edition of the show will then air – but we’ll have to wait till Friday to see it!
