On Friday night Amir Khan was voted to leave the jungle on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
Speaking to The Sun following his departure, the 31-year-old said that he believes the jungle experience has changed him and that he will stay faithful to his pregnant wife, Faryal Makdhoom.
Amir told the publication: “Family-wise being in the jungle has made me realise how important they are to me. In a weird way being away from them has made me feel closer to them.”

Previous to his time on the reality TV show, Amir had split from his wife after a very public bust-up on social media.
Amir accused the mother of his three-year-old daughter, Faryal, of cheating on him with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua. Faryal then threw back a cheating accusation to Amir.
However, the pair appeared to sort out their differences back in November and Amir posted an Instagram of himself cuddling up to his wife, stating:
“With my 4 month pregnant wife, after sorting out all the issues. Closing the year with a happy ending”
For a while it had seemed the couple were going to split but as Amir told The Sun: “We didn’t go through with the divorce as it’s void (banned in his Muslim religion) when a girl is pregnant. So it was a lesson, and I think our marriage will last forever now.”
“I definitely have more appreciation for my little girl and my wife Faryal, because I wasn’t around them. I was so far away. I missed them like crazy.”
“I don’t think we’ll break up again now, we both know how much we need each other. It was a bit of a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger.”
Faryal was unable to go out to meet Amir as he left the jungle due to sickness she has experienced during her pregnancy however, Amir spoke of how he was looking forward to getting home to look after her.
He said: “In the jungle I was worried about how the wife is doing, is she getting her medicals?
“She wrote in her letter from home to me that I have to start making her the vegetable juices that I made her when she was pregnant last time.”
“I want to make sure she is eating healthily and that I am feeding her the right nutrients. I am a very caring husband.”
