Amanda Holden and David Walliams have reportedly said they’d love to see same sex couples on Strictly after being wowed by a pair of male dancers on Britain’s Got Talent.
According to The Sun, Spaniards David de Menes and Javier Padilla impressed the judges with their salsa audition as the hunt for the next winner of the show continues.
Children’s author David, 46, was said to have voted for the pair to be put through to the next round.
He was quoted by The Sun as saying: “It was beautiful and shows there’s nothing funny about two men dancing together. I don’t know why the BBC doesn’t have two men dancing together because it’s fantastic.”
Amanda reportedly agreed, saying: “Strictly should do it. I love the moves and how you toss each other around on stage.”
She reportedly then joked that the dancers might not make the cut when the auditions are broadcast later this year though, as one of them was flashing too much flesh by having his shirt undone!

That was a reference to all the complaints made last year that her low-cut dresses were not suitable attire for a family show.
So far, the BGT team have been to Blackpool, Manchester and London as they travel the country to find the next Tokio Myers, Diversity or dancing dog, Pudsey.
Meanwhile, Amanda and David’s call for same sex couples in Strictly isn’t the first time the issue has been raised.
Last September, when the new series started, many asked if contestants Rev Richard Coles and Susan Calman would dance with partners of the same gender, as they are in same sex relationships.
Rev Coles told Digital Spy there was “a discussion” with bosses about it but in the end, they decided to stick with their traditional format.
A spokeswoman for the BBC said at the time: “Strictly has chosen the traditional format of mixed-sex couples and at the moment we have no plans to introduce same-sex couples in the competition.”
One pair who wouldn’t welcome same sex couples are former Strictly professional dancers James and Ola Jordan.
James told the Daily Star last year: “No, there definitely shouldn’t be same-sex couples on Strictly.
“Ballroom and Latin dance is about masculinity and femininity. It’s not about sexual orientation. It’s not a dating show. Why can’t a gay man dance with a woman?”
