Alexandra Burke blasted by Strictly fans again

They’re not impressed with her reactions

She may be stunning some on Strictly Come Dancing, but sometimes it feels like Alexandra Burke just can’t win.

The singer once again wowed judges with her footwork on last night’s episode of the celebrity dance show, but viewers were once again quick to condemn her reaction to the scores she received.

Alex and her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez performed a Quickstep to The Gold Diggers’ Song (We’re In The Money) from ‘42nd Street’.

It was all part of a spectacular week on Strictly, as the show really pulled some impressive staging out of the bag for the annual trip to Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.

As soon as Alex and Gorka had finished their impressive routine, the singer became very emotional, struggling to make it over to co- host Tess Daly and receive the judges’ comments.

It was all good news though, as the judges brought out the tens, with Bruno Tonioli commenting: “You did something that could come out of a classic Hollywood movie, it was that good.”

Only Craig Revel- Horwood resisted top marks, meaning that Alex and Gorka topped the leaderboard for week nine with 39 points.

A tearful Alex spoke to Claudia Winkleman backstage and said she just couldn’tkeep her emotions in check.

“I told myself I wouldn’t cry but I’m just so overwhelmed to make it to this point,” she said.

“I’m just so happy to be with all these amazing people. I love you so much, it’s such an amazing experience.”

Alex had already come in for criticism after her reaction to her Cha Cha Cha two weeks ago where she screamed and collapsed to the floor.

And viewers hadn’t forgotten, quickly taking to social media to brand Alex’s latest tears as ‘fake’.

Still, with top spot on the leaderboard after wowing Blackpool, Alex may not be too phased by the viewer’s reactions.

There’s still a long way to go to next month’s final though, and she’ll need to ke
