Adele Silva hints at possible Emmerdale return as Kelly Windsor

Could Kelly be back to stir up trouble?

There could be trouble heading for Emmerdale after actress Adele Silva has hinted that her alter ego Kelly Windsor could return to the soap.

Kelly, who is renowned for stirring up trouble wherever she goes, was last seen in 2011 when she departed the Dales for a new life in America with son Elliot, who she shares with ex Jimmy King.

Elliot has been back in Emmerdale and living with Jimmy and Nicola since 2016, but Kelly hasn’t been seen since she left seven years ago. But could that all be about to change?

Adele told Daily Star: “Kelly really is the best character to play. I used to get to say and do things that you wouldn’t dream of saying or doing in real life.

“I was 14 when I first joined and was quiet for those first couple of years as I was still at school. When I got to 16 I had an affair with a school teacher and that was it, Kelly was unleashed.

“After that she pretty much went through most of the men in the village. There were vicars, my step-brother and of course Jimmy.”

Adele also told the paper that it was “disgusting” that Kelly hadn’t been back to Emmerdale to see her son, and hinted that maybe it’s time she made an appearance…

“She’s not been killed off and her son is still in the village being looked after by Jimmy so we always say never say never.”

The actress also revealed that she missed out on a chance to return to the soap back in 2014 when her on-screen sister Donna died.

Unfortunately for Adele she was filming a guest stint in Casualty at the time and so schedules wouldn’t match up. But could it be a different story next time?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
