Nick Knowles appeared to confirm his I’m A Celebrity booking — only to backtrack just hours later before the new series began earlier this month.
The DIY SOS star, who entered the jungle on November 18, retweeted a post by former RAF navigator-turned-broadcaster John Nichol whipping up support for him on this year’s series.
He’d earlier asked his Twitter followers for advice on setting a boiler to holiday mode.

But he was soon back-pedalling on both tweets, insisting that his aunt was going away on a cruise “to find a hubby”, so he was helping to stop her pipes freezing until she returns.
And when a fan asked when his flight was, the 56-year-old replied: “February.”

He also said he would “retweet anything John says as he’s a legend”, adding: “To be honest if he said I’m going to the North Pole to see Santa I’d go looking for a flight.”
But Nick gave a further tease this morning when he retweeted a message from media commentator Peter Kirkham that read: “Policing family: I understand that policing’s biggest celeb supporter, @MrNickKnowles, is in the jungle this year… Let’s repay his support for policing by supporting him!”
Nick entered the jungle on November 18 alongside a string of famous faces including, Coronation Street’s Sair Khan, former EastEnders actress Rita Simons, The Chase’s Anne Hegerty and football legend Harry Redknapp.
And he’s certainly made his presence felt in the camp especially after Tuesday night’s episode, in which he gave Anne his luxury item to help her sleep better.
Nick’s luxury item was a white pillow but he was keen to give it to one of his fellow campmates.

He explained to the camp: “Do you know why I chose the pillow? So I could give it to anyone who was struggling sleeping.”
Throwing the pillow over to Anne, Nick added: “So, this is for you.”
Anne gushed: “Aw Nick, thank you.”
