TV’s Alex Jones has revealed when she plans to return to The One Show.
The presenter, 42, went off on maternity leave in April for the birth of her second child, Kit, with husband Charlie Thomson.
Since then a number of guest presenters have filled in for her, including The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, Irish TV host Angela Scanlon and Watchdog’s Michelle Ackerley.

Alex initially planned to return to the show this Autumn but, unfortunately for fans, winter is here and the Welsh presenter is still away.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (03.12.19), Alex told her followers why she’s decided to take more time off with her family – and when she plans on returning to The One Show.
I’ve decided to go back to the @bbctheoneshow in January.
As reported by the Express, she said she was having a “lovely time” with her two sons and wasn’t “quite ready” to go back.
She said: “For those who are asking when I’m coming back to work…
“I know I said Autumn, but I’m having a lovely time with the boys and wasn’t quite ready yet, so…
“I’ve decided to go back to the @bbctheoneshow in January after the Christmas break.”
Alex welcomed baby Kit to the world in May. Following the birth, she called in to The One Show to speak to her co-host Matt Baker and update viewers.
She said on the programme: “We are now a family of four. He was born last Monday morning. We’ve had a lovely week getting used to being a family of four and introducing him to Teddy.”
At the time, Alex said her eldest son Teddy, who turns three next month, was already the best big brother Kit could ask for – but struggled getting used to his sibling’s name at first.

Alex continued: “I was a bit worried but Teddy has taken to it like a duck to water, being a big brother. He says, ‘Love you baby’.”
Speaking further, Alex said Teddy was sure his mum and dad were going to name the new arrival Thomas after Thomas the Tank Engine, adding: “Breaking the news is going to be tricky.”
