John Barrowman reveals former co-star Suranne Jones offered to have his baby

He would like to be a dad one day

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star John Barrowman has revealed his actress pal Suranne Jones once offered to carry his baby.

The Dr Who star, who has known the actress for 13 years, revealed she made the offer in case he ever wanted to have children with his husband Scott Gill.

In his autobiography, Anything Goes, John revealed: “I found a surrogate mother for my future children. From the play A Few Good Men I gained a good friend in actress Suranne Jones, or Sarah as she’s known to her mates.”

He added: “One night she told me that if Scott and I ever did decide we wanted to have a child of our own, she’d be happy to accommodate us.

“Perhaps one day I might become a dad, we have a lot of love to give and I adore kids.”

Before entering I’m A Celebrity this year, John admitted that having kids wasn’t on the agenda just yet.

He said on the show: “Well I still would like to adopt. But I can’t just go out and buy one at Tesco and bring it home, it has to be a partnership thing and I don’t think Scott is ready for it.”

John and Scott have been together for 25 years and they married in California in 2013.

Earlier this week, John left viewers in hysterics when he revealed he once stole from Prince Charles.

Recalling the time he was invited to perform for Prince Charles at his country estate, John told his campmates: “On the way out I took two champagne flutes. I got my friend to put one under the seat and told her no-one would know.”

But that didn’t turn out to be the case…

Rather embarrassingly, Charles apparently spotted the missing items and had a hilarious reaction to it.

John continued: “Two days later, a box arrived at the house in Cardiff from his office of four glasses with a card referencing ‘we understand that you like them.'”
