The 26-year-old actress, who announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Kean Bryan earlier this month, wrote: “So this week I decided to go back to the gym. I think going to the gym whilst pregnant is definitely a personal preference and a decision I’m glad I’ve made.

“Pregnancy is known to be the time women sometimes relax on their eating habits and start ‘eating for two’ and trust me that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.”

She continued “I realised week 7 I wanted to eat more healthily and give my body and my baby the goodness they need. I am definitely not on a diet and I’m just making sure I’m getting the foods and nutrition that they need.”

The fitness fan admitted she wasn’t sure at first about returning to the gym while pregnant, but after feeling tired she wasted to be as healthy as she could be while carrying her first child.

She wrote: “Whilst my general training there is normally very intense, pregnancy fitness I have found so enjoyable and to be honest I’m glad I made the decision to go back. I understand in 9 months my body is going to change and I am going to gain weight as my baby grows.

“I want to stress I am not looking for visual results, I wanted to go back to start feeling good about myself and catching up on them endorphins I’ve been missing these past few weeks, yet most importantly wanted to be the healthiest I can be whilst carrying my baby.”

She added: “I also made sure I spoke with my midwife who gave me the all clear to do light training before I went back as sometimes even in your second trimester it isn’t always safe.”

She also revealed that she thinks Kean will make a great dad. “It felt so surreal, it was an overwhelming mix of emotions – nothing quite prepares you for it,” she said.

“I think Kean will be a wonderful dad. We’ve been together three years and had some really nice times, but it’s lovely to know this is going to top everything.”
