Home and Away fans have been left gutted for Doctor Tori Morgan as she’s struggled with baby issues in recent months.

But actress Penny McNamee has hinted that there might just be good news on the way for Tori and Robbo.

While her alter ego Tori has recently started moving ahead with plans for IVF, Penny is pregnant in real life with her second child.

And, in a serendipitous turn of events, art might imitate life as her pregnancy could be written into the Australian soap.

During an appearance on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show, Penny opened up about her and her husband Matt’s personal struggles with conceiving due to her own battle with endometriosis.

And when asked if she’ll be taking a break from Summer Bay, or if the baby bump might somehow be worked into the show, Penny mysteriously replied: “We’ll soon find out.”

While most pregnancies are hidden at all costs on set – just ask Corrie’s Jennie McAlpine! – Penny teased that hers might have a starring role!

She added: “Funnily enough, there was already a pregnancy and IVF storyline in the works on Home and Away, which is airing at the moment.

“So it was actually quite emotional because we filmed that six months ago when I wasn’t pregnant.”

The actress went on to say: “Tori was going through IVF and looking into all her options and that was completely unrelated to me and my journey, so we’ll see what happens with Tori.

“Hopefully the timing might work out.”

Penny recently revealed she was expecting her second child, after concerns she wouldn’t be able to conceive again.

At the time she said that she and her husband were feeling “very grateful, blessed and excited” to be welcoming a new addition to the family.

In a heartfelt post shared on her official Instagram page, she told her 148,000 followers: “We are so happy to share our very exciting news! But while we are so grateful and feel very blessed, we know this kind of news can be sad and frustrating for others who are struggling to conceive.

“Our own journey has been one of heartache and disappointment and my hope is that this news brings hope to all my sisters with endometriosis. That with a diagnosis, surgery and time, you too will be posting some exciting news of your own very soon.”
