Lisa Riley confirms she’s back filming at Emmerdale

Mandy was last seen in January

Lisa Riley has confirmed she’s back filming at Emmerdale.

Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, posted a picture of outside of ITV’s Emmerdale studio.

The picture was captioned: “It’s actually wonderful today…..FIRST DAY BACK AT SCHOOL!!! Cannot begin to explain how excited I am #emmerdale @emmerdale #itv @itv #mandydingle.”

One fan commented a love heart.

Earlier this month the 43-year-old actress confirmed she would be returning to the Dales after her character Mandy departed the show in January this year.

Mandy returned for a short stint earlier this year with her son Vinny who looked very similar to her ex-husband Paddy Kirk.

Paddy suspected Vinny was his son, because they share so many character traits, but Mandy denied it.

However Mandy revealed she had returned to tell Paddy she had found love letters from his mother to a wrestler named Bear Wolf.

Paddy soon tracked Bear down and found out that Bear was his biological dad.

Bear moved into the Woolpack with Paddy and Chas, who are expecting a baby.

Mandy and Vinny left after a short time in the village and as they left Vinny asked his mother why she didn’t tell them the real reason for them being there but Mandy said it wasn’t the right time.

Mandy was initially in the soap from 1995-2001 and in that time she married cousin Butch but they soon divorced.

She went on to marry Paddy but their relationship ended after she had an affair with her college lecturer.

Emmerdale fans are convinced her return will split up Chas and Paddy.

Bradley Johnson, who plays Mandy’s son vinny, will also be reprising his role.

Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursday on ITV.
