He might not always be the best dad as Max Branning on EastEnders, but at home, Jake Wood is clearly an amazing parent.
The actor took to Instagram at the weekend to share a sweet tribute to his eldest daughter, Amber, as fans flocked to comment on how alike they are.
Beside a picture with his wife, Alison, and their daughter between them, the soap veteran wrote: “Happy 14th birthday to our daughter Amber, the most beautiful girl we know inside and out. So proud of the young lady you have become ❤️❤️❤️.”
He also shared some images from the party and a close up of his beautiful daughter.
His 43.5k followers were astonished at the likeness, with one commenting: “Her daddy’s double!! X.” A second told Jake: “She looks like you.”
A third added: “She’s your image @mrjakewood, beautiful girl, hope she has the most amazing birthday 💗🎉.” While one more said: “Happy birthday to your daughter, she is your double 🎉🎉.”
Others focused on her special day, writing: “Stunning young lady. Hope she has a wonderful birthday x.” A second said: “🎉🎁🙌 HAPPY BIRTHDAY Amber x.” Another commented: “Happy Birthday @amberbowood 🎉 I hope you have an amazing day😊.”
One more added: “So striking! What a lovely family photo. 💕.”

Jake – who has been a fan favourite on EastEnders since 2006 – has been married to Alison since 2001 and they are also parents to son, Buster.
Amber also took to Instagram to share some pictures and videos of her favourite birthday presents, including some shoes, tops and make-up.
She also thanked everyone for the lovely messages, sharing a clip of herself blowing the camera a kiss, with the caption: “Thank you all for the birthday wishes.”
The Wood family are clearly close, and Amber shared a group shot last month, writing: “J’adore ma famille💛.”
Jake, 46, has been a busy man in recent weeks, training for the London marathon. He’s running it alongside several EastEnders’ cast members, to raise money for their beloved friend and former co-worker, Barbara Windsor.
The TV and film star was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in 2014 and her husband Scott went public with the news last year.
