EastEnders is set to air a new twist in Ruby Allen’s rape storyline tonight as Martin makes a surprising discovery that could change everything.
After Ruby revealed to best friend Stacey that she had been sexually assaulted after a night out with Martin’s old school friends Ross and Matt, she’s been struggling with whether to go to the police or not.
Martin and Stacey have also been at loggerheads, with Martin struggling to believe that his friends are capable of what Ruby is accusing them of.
But tonight’s trip to Walford sees a huge shift in the story after Stacey confronts Martin about the nasty comments Ruby has been receiving online.
Convinced that her husband’s friends are behind the vile messages, Stacey confronts Martin and the pair are soon arguing again.
Unaware that Martin’s got some new information about what happened on the night of the school reunion in the E20, Stacey supports her friend and tries once again to get Ruby to report her rape to the police.
But after making his surprising discovery, Martin’s set to share his findings with Stacey – could this new twist in the tale make a difference to Stacey’s support?
As Martin begs Stacey to make sure she is one hundred percent convinced about what happened on the night of the alleged rape, the young mum decides it’s time to get some proper answers.
Determined to get to the bottom of what happened that fateful night once and for all, Stacey sits Ruby down and gets her to talk through the evening step by step.
But what has Martin found that has got Stacey questioning everything?
