Kim was locked in the basement of an abandoned school by murderer Ryan Knight (fellow popstar Duncan James) for three months, with just a poster of Rick for company.

Some might say he even became a guardian angel, of sorts.

Luckily her girlfriend Farrah Maalik eventually saved her from starving to death, but the troubled teen has been left with a slight obsessed with the singer…

And the pair were united for real this week when Rick made a guest appearance on the soap.

Daisy Wood-Davis, who plays Kim, was thrilled when she attended Rick’s album launch recently and she seemingly convinced him to take part in the soap.

The nature of the cameo has not been revealed, but we know the scenes will air later this year.

One fans was delighted for Kim, tweeting: “YASSSS ITS HAPPENIN!!! ITS HAPPENIN!!!! Soooo soooo Happy for Kim!!!”

Another enthused: “OH MY GOD THIS IS GONNA BE SO GOOD.”

Rick was a huge star in the 1980s with 1987 song Never Gonna Give You Up a number one hit single in 25 countries.

He retired from the music industry at the age of 27, deciding that family life was more important, but returned to music after a decade out of the spotlight.
