Viewers of Channel 4’s Hollyoaks are getting increasingly ‘annoyed’ with Maxine Minniver’s ‘illness’ storyline.
Maxine has been claiming to be ill for months now, however viewers know she has Munchausen’s syndrome – a psychological disorder where someone pretends to be unwell.
The storyline kicked off on New Year’s Eve after Maxine drank a dodgy bottle of vodka, leading to her collapsing and ending up in critical condition at the hospital.

Later, she managed to recover and made up with Damon, who she had fallen out with at the time.
Maxine then mistakenly thought Damon wanted them to move in together when he was actually going to buy a place with Brody Hudson.
She later ended up collapsing claiming she couldn’t feel her legs.
When doctors were unable to find a diagnosis, she moved into a flat with Minnie but continued to feel unwell.
Damon asked Grace to keep an eye on Max, thinking she could be pregnant. But she revealed she wasn’t pregnant and thought there was something seriously wrong with her.
Continuing to faint, Misbah began to think Maxine may have a brain disease. But it soon became clear that Maxine is faking her illness.
At her engagement party, Maxine “passed out” again and ended up having to be taken home.
After an argument with Damon she called into This Morning telling them Damon had left her and she had a mystery illness.

Alison Hammond then showed up in the village with £5,000 cheque for Maxine, much to Damon’s annoyance.
Viewers are also starting to get annoyed with the storyline.

Tonight (Monday June 17) sees medic Mitchell cottoning onto Maxine’s lies when he notices something oddd about her test results.
Will viewers get their wish and see the storyline over as she’s caught out?
