Soap star Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that her three-year-old son Stanley is in hospital and she’s taking time out of Hollyoaks to care for him.
Sarah Jayne, 38, plays Mandy Richardson in the Chester-based soap and has said it has been “the most stressful week of my life”.

Sharing an emotional post on Instagram, Sarah Jayne posted a snap of her posing with her co-star Stephanie Waring, saying that she couldn’t wait to get back to work.
She captioned the image: “I’ve had the most emotionally draining & stressful week of my life.
“I can’t wait for my little man to be back to full health first & foremost.
“Then I can’t wait to be back on set doing a job that I love & working with people that make me smile.

Sarah Jayne has not divulged the reason little Stanley is in hospital, but she immediately received love and support from many of her 133,000 followers.
“Sending you so much love,” said her Hollyoaks co-star Harvey Virdi.
Another Hollyoaks co-star, Chelsee Healey, said: “Been thinking about you and Stanley. Sending lots of love, luck and prayers.”
“Ah I don’t know what’s gone on but I hope your little boy is ok? X” commented ex-Corrie and Hollyoaks co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson.
Finally, co-star Stephanie Waring, pictured in Sarah Jayne’s snap, wrote: “Feel like I’ve lost an arm… missing you lots.”

Sarah Jayne Dunn tied the knot last year, surrounded by her showbiz friends.
She and partner Jonathan Wilson said “I do” at The Holford Estate in Cheshire on a beautiful sunny May day.
Stanley, then 20 months old, attended the ceremony in a suit matching his dad’s.
“To marry in front of our son was such a special moment,” Sarah Jayne told OK! magazine.
