Mercedes McQueen is going to be shot in Hollyoaks, show bosses have revealed
Scheming Mercedes’ chickens are going to come home to roost when her year of bad decisions comes back to haunt her.
She will be left fighting for her life, according to The Sun, when one of eight suspects gets a gun to put an end to her in the village.
Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood told the publication: “This has been the year of Mercedes’ terrible decisions and there’s no one better in soap at making terrible decisions and we love her.
“We love what Jen’s done with Mercedes this year, even though we’ve been screaming at the TV throughout the months.

“The discovery of that threat to Harry on that phone again is the incident that leads to a massive week after stunt week which is all about who shot Mercedes McQueen.”
Eight characters will be in the frame for the attack and the culprit won’t be unmasked until the new year.
Bryan added to Digital Spy: “It’s a really huge October, as all of those terrible decisions that Mercedes has been making all year, lead to people finally wanting payback.
“It’s a whodunit. It will play out for a couple of months, keeping the audience guessing. Some of our most popular characters are in that line-up.
“What I’m really chuffed about is the consequences of the shooting keep on coming and it takes us into next year.”

Mercedes’ shooting comes off the back of her dramatic few months.
She nearly killed Grace Black in a hit and run before framing Harry Thompson for it, not realising he recorded her confession before he was murdered by Breda.
And she has been growing dependent on drugs as well as continuing her affair with Liam behind Sylver’s back, meaning there will be plenty of motive for whoever shoots her.
