He revealed to the Daily Mirror: “Jake Quickenden is involved!

“It’s always amazing and the director doing it this year did our iconic bus crash years ago.

“They bring in the special effects team and Bryan Kirkwood said it’s gonna be our biggest, best ever.”

Although the plot is being kept under wraps, it’s believed Jake has been filming with show veterans Steph Waring (Cindy Cunningham), Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Richardson), Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren Osbourne), Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) and Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson).

Next year will see the soap celebrate a milestone anniversary and Kieron – whose alter ego is currently involved with a far right group – thinks bosses will be pulling out all the stops in the fallout from the stunt.

He added to the newspaper: “We’re going into our 25th anniversary so I expect it’s gonna be shocking.”

Jake recently admitted it is a “privilege” to be working on the show.

He said: “It’s very exciting and it’s a privilege. Hollyoaks is such an amazing show and it’s been around for so long; to be asked to come and have a role on it, it’s amazing.

“I’m really happy. I’ve had a great day and everyone’s so sound. It’s nice to arrive somewhere new and know someone like Steph [Waring] too, she’s made it really easy to fit in.”
