Soaps stars are some of the most recognisable people in the UK today.
But there are stars who have successfully appeared in multiple soaps.
Here’s five of the best known soap swappers…
Shooting to fame as a teenager on Coronation Street, Ryan Thomas will always be known as a soap star.
And so two years after quitting Corrie, Ryan ended up with a role Down Under on Neighbours.
He played Rafael, a vengeful son looking for revenge on the man responsible for his mother’s death.
Rafael seduced the man’s son before discovering his innocence and leaving to find the real culprit.
And it’s safe to say he won’t be back having now retired from acting.
Man-eater Natalie Barnes left Corrie fans furious in the 90s by her pursuit of Kevin Webster.
His poor wife Sally was at home with two young girls while Kevin and the eventual Rovers landlady bit on the side were going at it hammer and tongues on the cobbles.
Not two decades later and she’s playing an equally hated character in Trish Miniver in Hollyoaks.
This time Trish is a terrible mother, taking almost a full year to redeem herself for the awful treatment of her daughter Maxine.
And she once turned up in EastEnders as a long lost Slater. Just Emmerdale to go…
Best known for playing Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale, Gemma Oaten is a soap star.
Rachel was killed off by the soap off-screen two years ago – meaning Gemma can never return.
However she recently starred in Coronation Street for a four-episode stint.
She played Isla, a mum of a pal of Tyrone and Fiz’s daughter Hope.
Tyrone was infatuated and the pair shared a flirty date that was ruined when her husband turned up and promptly punched Tyrone.
She was last seen scurrying out of Speed Daal – but the door has been left open for her comeback.
As Cameron Murray, Dominic terrorised Emmerdale for years.
Eventually meeting his end in the flooded Woolpack beer cellar with the help of some electrics, Cameron’s end went down in soap history.
And now actor Dominic is joining Hollyoaks as mysterious newcomer, Dave.
Will he live up to his reputation?
The actor is best known for playing Hollyoaks’ baddie Warren Fox.
A gangster through and through he’s also the village’s most prolific killer yet to be caught.
And much like Warren, actor Jamie doesn’t let the grass grow under his feet.
He’s also had major roles in both Coronation Street and EastEnders.
Including being the main suspect in Walford for Lucy Beale’s murder.
