Emmerdale star Louisa Clein had an emotional moment as she waved her child off to nursery.
The Maya Stepney star joked that tissues might be needed as she reflected on her family’s milestone with Instagram fans.
But several soap mates were quick to offer their support to their Emmerdale pal on the social media site.
And other followers were also impressed with the measures the nursery took to reassure parents about their child’s first day.
Louisa shared a snap of a poem she’d received with followers earlier today (Tuesday, September 8).
An emotional note from nursery staff
The note appeared to pull on Louisa’s heartstrings as it let parents know that staff understood it is also a big day for them.
We already love your little one.
It also came with gifts of a chocolate bar and tissues to stem any sobs.
The note read: “The day is finally here and now you are done.
“Sit down and have a cup of tea, thinking of how your little one has grown. The tissue is for your tears if you want to cry.
“When they are at school and you are thinking about all the good times that have gone by.
“As you eat your little treat, your worries can be gone, Because we already love your little one.”
Dropped my littlest one off at nursery today, gulp.
The note signed off: “Have a lovely day, The Nursery Team.”
Louisa Clein’s reaction to the touching gesture
Louisa reflected on the considerate gesture: “Dropped my littlest one off at nursery today, gulp.
“They gave me this. A Kit Kat. A tea bag and some tissues.”
She added the hashtag: “#imnotcryingyourecrying.”
Fellow Emmerdale stars soon popped in the comments section of Louisa’s post.
“Oh don’t,” wrote Charley Webb about the emotional impact of the note. “Absolutely done.”
Fiona Wade reached out: “Awww babe. Sending big, bug hugs to you.”
And Amy Walsh also commented, leaving a string of crying emojis.
The nursery staff’s efforts also impressed other followers.
“That’s totally delightful,” commented one person.
“What a thoughtful team. I’ve spent a career on early years around UK and overseas and this is a first. Please congratulate these team for me.”
Someone else wrote: “What a lovely thing to do, I’m sure your little one will love their new adventures.”
And someone else reflected: “This is soooooo cute. My youngest starts nursery at school in just over a week and I will cry.”
