So it turns out that Emmerdale’s missing teenager Amelia Spencer is alive, but could still be in grave danger.
The mystery of her disappearance deepened in Emmerdale last night (Thursday 14 June) as cops confirmed she’d been spotted with a ‘mystery’ person.
They also suspect someone she KNOWS is behind her abduction.

Step forward prime suspect – Daz Spencer.
The police revealed their breakthrough in the case when they found CCTV footage from a nearby town centre of the schoolgirl with an unidentified woman in a hoodie.
While it’s proof that she’s alive, the cops also have evidence that Amelia has been communicating with someone in an online chat room.

Has she been groomed by somebody she trusts into running away?
In the conversations, Amelia asked if she could come home yet and was told she wasn’t able to yet.
When the police discover that the person’s username is ‘Helmand2009’, it leads them straight to Daz, who admitted under questioning that he’d served in the Afghanistan province during his time in the army.
A few weeks ago, a DNA test revealed that Daz is Amelia’s biological father, leaving the little girl shocked to the core.
While Daz completely denies being involved, it’s clear that he is hiding something…
And who is the hooded woman in the footage?
With DS Benton now treating the case as a confirmed kidnap, surely it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out?
Emmerdale fans were quick to speculate, with one suggesting: “Maybe Gabby has Amelia?? Maybe she and Leanna and a group of them are working together? Just ideas…”

Another thought the shadowy woman in the CCTV footage could be Daz’s partner, guessing: “Is it Bernice that is hiding Amelia?”
A third had the wild theory that Ali isn’t dead after all, writing: “What if, Ali isn’t actually dead and is just really skint and has come up with a plan with Daz to get ransom for Amelia?”
Many soap fans believe that GP Liam Cavanagh’s daughter Leanna is involved.
