Former Emmerdale star Louisa Clein has revealed a sweet promise she made to her daughters whilst she was filming the soap.

Louisa, who played Maya Stepney, posted a series of pictures to her Instagram page to explain.

The 40-year-old captioned the post: “When Emmerdale was as its most busy, I promised my girls I would give them a ‘special mummy day’ when it was over.

“And today we were tourists in our own city. Museums in the morning and then my special museum in the afternoon aka Harrods food hall.

“London is a spectacular city and I love it will all my [love-heart emoji] #harrods #naturalhistorymuseum #sciencemuseum.”

Former co-stars commented on the post.

Sandra Marvin, who plays Jessie Dingle in Emmerdale, posted: “Ahhh that looks gorgeous.”

Matty Barton actor, Ash Palmisciano, wrote: “That’s lovely, hope you had a lovely day.”

Louisa played school teacher Maya from 2018 till 2019.

At first Maya, who was married to Liam Cavanagh, had an affair with David Metcalfe.

However, eventually Maya began grooming David’s 15-year-old son Jacob. She even started sleeping with him just days after he turned 16.

After months, she was eventually caught out by Priya on Emmerdale’s Big Night Out.

David found out the truth and once Jacob was back home, he called the police on Maya.

She was sent to prison for 12 months and despite being off screen, she is often mentioned and it’s clear she has left Jacob very mixed up.
