Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has posted a sweet birthday message for her daughter on social media, and fans can’t help but notice the resemblance between the two.
The actress, 47, took to Twitter to share a pic of herself and her daughter Lily, 15, enjoying a meal out.
She captioned the photo: “Had such a wonderful evening @leedsteppanyaki celebrating my beautiful daughters birthday. Love you Lily.”

Her followers flooded the comments with birthday wishes, with some pointing out how they look remarkably alike.
One commented: “OMG she is the image of [her] mum.”
Another agreed, tweeting: “Like Mother like daughter.”
A third wrote: “You look so much like your mum it’s unreal.”
Someone else said they thought Gaynor and Lily “could be sisters”.
Gaynor – who has one other child, 17-year-old Oliver – has played wedding planner Megan Macey in Emmerdale 2012.
Last year, she spoke about following Buddhism and helping to change her co-stars’ lives by teaching them how to practice it – although she wouldn’t reveal who had taken it up.
Speaking to The Mirror in May, she said: “I encouraged a few actors here to take up Buddhism, and we sometimes chant at work.
“I chant prayers every morning and evening. I sometimes chant in my dressing room or on set if things are getting to me.”
Before joining Emmerdale, Gaynor played Judy Mallett in Coronation Street.
She was introduced to the Weatherfield lineup in 1996, departing in 1999 when her character died from an embolism following a car crash.
Gaynor’s mum is acclaimed screenwriter Kay Mellor, who is best known for her work on shows including as Fat Friends, Band of Gold and The Syndicate.

She’s previously confessed that it’s an advantage having a famous screenwriter for a parent.
Gaynor’s starred in a number of her mum’s creations, but she insists that she doesn’t just have parts handed to her.
She told The Sunday Mirror‘s Notebook: “[My mum] always makes me audition – and there’s parts I’ve wanted and haven’t got – she’s no pushover.”
