Emmerdale’s Danny Miller ‘cried real tears’ while filming Ryan Hawley’s final scenes

The actor predicts fans will be sobbing too

Emmerdale’s Danny Miller has revealed that he cried on-screen AND off while filming co-star Ryan Hawley’s exit scenes.

The soap actor, who plays Aaron Dingle, has admitted his TV husband’s exit storyline left him in tears – and warns it will do the same for his fans.

In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, Danny said his final scenes with Ryan Hawley are full of “raw emotion” and a few “genuine” tears.

Danny, 28, admitted it’s been hard to say goodbye to his friend and he has warned that their final scenes together will be sure to have viewers crying.

He said: “We’ve done a lot of the goodbye scenes already. There was real emotion in there, and a genuine tear or two!”

He continued: “Ryan and I have been close for a good four years, and it won’t be the same without him. But the show goes on – and it will be interesting to see what happens to Aaron next.”

Danny admits the end of Robron has split fans “down the middle”, but insists he’s proud that Ryan’s departure has sparked such a reaction because it means that their story arch has been important to people.

Discussing the fan reaction, he said: “It’s split down the middle. Half the fans are angry that this couple is coming to an end. They don’t understand that every actor wants to go off and spread their wings at some point.

“The other half are excited to see what Ryan gets up to. They’re just thankful for all the stories we’ve told over the past four years.”

Robert is set to exit the show in dramatic scenes all connected to the rape of his sister Victoria Sugden, who is now pregnant with her rapist’s baby.

After being goaded by Lee, the vile man who sexually assaulted Vic, Robert lashed out – hitting Lee over the head and leaving him in a coma.

Robert now looks set to go down for grievous bodily harm with intent – unless he does a runner first.

Ryan Hawley revealed his intentions to leave the ITV soap earlier this year, admitting he wanted to pursue other acting projects.
