Emmerdale’s Charley Webb makes heartbreaking confession about her son

She begged friends and fans for advice...

Charley Webb has opened up about an upsetting development in her son’s behaviour – the poor mite is displaying separation anxiety whenever she leaves him.

The Emmerdale actress, 30, reached out to her 439,000 Twitter followers for advice after being driven to despair.

She told her followers: “Bowie started nursery about 4 weeks ago. One afternoon a week and he is hysterical everytime I leave him there. Screaming, crying, hitting. Anyone else had this? Please tell me it gets better.”

Charley, who plays Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, has two boys with her husband and fellow co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe.

Buster was born in April 2010, while Bowie followed in 2015 after the pair briefly separated.

She said: “Thanks everyone for your advice. Nursery suggested upping it to two mornings, it’s just when I work so much I want to spend that time with him if I’m off. I might go for 2, I’ll see how the next few weeks go.”

She also added: “Still reading all your messages. A lot of you say when the parents leave they’re fine but he’s been continuing to cry. Then stops, then starts. For the whole session…….!! Hopefully in a few more weeks he’ll love it.”

Charley and Matthew got married earlier this year after meeting on the Emmerdale set back in 2007. They kept their nuptials a secret and told their guests they were attending Charley’s 30th birthday celebration instead!

Her bridesmaids included Lucy Pargeter, Roxy Shahidi, Zoe Henry, Charlotte Bellamy, Sammy Winward, Emma Atkins, Kate Oates and her sister Cassie.

Earlier this year, Charley and Matthew told OK! Magazine how they’re already considering another baby.

Matthew told the magazine: “We’ll start thinking about having another baby next year.

“We’d love a girl but I think we’re destined to have a house full of boys.”
