Emmerdale’s Amelia Flanagan poses for sweet picture with her Corrie star sister

Isabella Flanagan plays Hope Stape

The Flanagans are a talented family with all three children starring in two of the nation’s favourite soaps – Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

But despite sisters Amelia and Isabella starring in different soaps – as Emmerdale’s April Winsdor and Coronation Street’s Hope Stape respectively – there’s clearly no rivalry as they look thick as thieves in a new picture of them.

The girls’ mum, Rachel, posted a snap of Amelia, 11, and Isabella seven, cuddling and smiling.

Rachel captioned the snap: “My girls [heart emoji].”

It looks like this is a throwback snap to the family’s recent holiday to New York.

Back in August Rachel shared lots of snaps of the family enjoying their trip.

The girls deserved a break given all the storylines they’ve been portraying on screen.

Poor April has been left broken-hearted once again in Emmerdale as yet another of her mother figures departed last week.

Jessie Dingle left husband Marlon, April’s dad, after she cheated with her ex, Al Chapman.

Although Jessie asked Marlon and April to move to Dubai with her to start afresh, the duo decided to stay behind with April lamenting: “Me and Dad have done this a few times now, we stay and they go.”

She later broke down asking if it was her fault of all Marlon’s wives and girlfriends leave them. Fans were devastated for April.

Meanwhile in Coronation Street, Hope has just returned from a year at a special school in Birmingham.

The little girl’s behaviour had been worrying mum Fiz Stape and stepdad Tyrone Dobbs, so Hope and Fiz moved to the Midlands so Hope could go to a different school.

The pair have since returned and it’s clear Hope hasn’t changed at all.

She has already started a fire on the street and there are fears she’s turning into a pyromaniac or a serial killer like her dead father, John Stape.

Her teaching assistant from Birmingham, Jade, is coming to live with the family next week, but will she be able to help Hope?

Or is Jade too busy hiding secrets of her own?
