Emmerdale viewers rejoice as Moira gets her comeuppance with public shaming

The whole village knows about her affair with Cain's son

Viewers of Emmerdale couldn’t help themselves from enjoying Moira Dingle’s public humiliation last night, when her affair with Nate Robinson became public knowledge.

Those watching from home turned against the character when she embarked on the relationship with her farmhand, and have been calling for her to get her comeuppance.

Which they got in spades on Thursday (October 24).

Moira and Cain returned to the village – separately – after the previous night’s explosive events when Cain discovered Nate was his secret son and Moira nearly drowned

Despite saving her life, Cain is clearly not about to forgive Moira for cheating on him with Nate and was on a mission to publicly shame his wife for her betrayal.

Something fans welcomed!

Moira, having attempted to reason with Cain and begged for his forgiveness, made the frankly bizarre decision to head to The Woolpack for a drink.

But Cain was quick to enlighten the rest of the punters in the pub when he arrived to meet Chas and Paddy’s newborn baby Eve.

Cain, a broken man by this point, announced Moira’s betrayal to the whole pub.

And when the news sunk in, Chas threw a mortified Moira out of the pub.

Writing on Twitter, one bloodthirsty fan wrote: “Moira deserves all she gets.”

Another said: “I can’t believe Moira is out drinking in the pub! Glad Cain has humiliated her.”

A third added: “Moira needs to be shamed. Glad Cain’s broadcasting it to the whole village #Emmerdale.”

“Moira deserves no sympathy,” blasted one more.

Actress Natalie J Robb recently revealed there is a “deep-rooted reason” behind her character’s recent actions.

Speaking to Lorraine on Tuesday (October 20), she said: “It is risky but that’s the thing, I think there’s a bit of self-sabotage going on.

“She is doing it literally on her doorstep, and like I say without giving too much away, there will be reasons why she’s done it.

“There are deep-rooted reasons why.”

But can the Emmerdale viewers ever forgive her?
