Fans of Emmerdale are divided as Pete and Rhona split for good in last night’s episode (July 19 2019).
A couple of weeks ago, Pete ended up cheating on Rhona by kissing her friend Kim Tate after he helped her get her car out of the mud.
He soon told Rhona the truth and instead of splitting up, the pair ended up getting engaged.
However, since the engagement, it’s been clear that it isn’t what Rhona wants.
In last night’s episode, Vanessa was getting Rhona and Pete’s engagement party ready but she could see her friend was having doubts.
She told the vet that if she wasn’t a hundred percent sure she should back out now.
Pete also appeared to get cold feet after Leyla reminded him he would be giving up the chance to have children of his own after an accident left Rhona needing an emergency hysterectomy.
The pair went to their engagement party but it was obvious there was some awkwardness between the couple and they both ended up sneaking off.
Back at Rhona’s, she pointed out that they were getting married as she had a hysterectomy and they weren’t sure what to do next.
The pair agreed the engagement was a mistake but Rhona said they could just not get married and stay together.
However Pete realised him not having children of his own would be an issue.
The pair ended their relationship on good terms however their split has left some Emmerdale viewers divided.

Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursday on ITV.
