Emmerdale SPOILERS: Aaron hits rock bottom as Robert gets in touch

It's definitely the end for the boys now

Hearts across the country broke when Robert Sugden-Dingle was sentenced to life in prison, serving at least 14 years, in last week’s Emmerdale.

Despite husband Aaron vowing to wait for him, Robert decides that’s not going to happen next week when he sends a message to his love via Chas Dingle.

And it’s a message that’s going to send an already spiralling Aaron even further over the edge…

Liv and Victoria already think a distraught Aaron is having a breakdown as he really isn’t coping with Rob’s incaceration.

When Wendy turns up at the house, she and Aaron get into a huge argument, which Victoria interrupts.

They’re shocking into silence when pregnant Vic breaks down in tears.

An apologetic Wendy leaves Mill and Victoria sits down to try to talk some sense into Aaron.

But things take a turn when Chas arrives with news from Robert.

She reveals to her son Robert’s been in touch and has left a message – leaving Aaron hopeful that things will be all right.

But it’s not good news: Robert has put a ban on anyone visiting him in jail for the foreseeable future.

Victoria is devastated she’ll never see her brother again, but it’s Aaron who’s hit the hardest.

As the reality hits them both, Aaron is sure to be sent even further out of control.

Show bosses have already confirmed Aaron will go off the rails  after Robert’s exit.

Robert was sent down after he hit Victoria’s rapist Lee over the head with a shovel.

He pleaded guilty to GBH with intent, but his charge was upgraded to murder when Lee later died as a result of his injuries.

Aaron and Robert at first went on the run, but Robert handed himself into the police when he realised it wasn’t fair to take his husband away from his family.

Aaron had planned to break Robert out of prison, but Paddy held him hostage in his own home to stop him doing anything stupid.

Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on ITV.
