It’s been a rough few months for Emmerdale‘s Priya Kotecha after being central to the downfall of paedophile Maya Stepney.
And it looks like the drama has taken its toll on Priya’s mental health as her eating disorder is set to return in the coming weeks.

Fans had already predicted Priya was struggling with food again after previously battling anorexia in 2014 when she was pregnant with Amba.
Her family successfully got her to eat, only for her to start making herself sick afterwards.
Eventually, she checked into a specialist clinic to get the help she needed for the sake of her unborn baby.
The illness reared its head again in 2016 when Priya’s marriage to Rakesh was crumbling and she was having issues at work.
Last week saw Priya snap at brother Jai and her strange behaviour immediately sounded alarm bells for long-time show fans.
She stormed into the kitchen where Jai was supposed to watching Amba who’d got chocolate on her face.
“You’re supposed to be keeping an eye on her,” she yelled.
“It’s only a bit of chocolate,” bemused Jai said back, but Priya was still not happy, raging that she’d have to get Amba changed and she was already running late before telling Jai he should do it.
“What is wrong with you at the minute?” Jai asked.
But just as Priya was about to open up he got a text from Laurel and was too distracted, meaning the moment passed.
Next week sees Priya continue to suffer in silence and particularly having difficulty during a meal with Jamie and Andrea Tate at Home Farm.
But Andrea’s not stupid and immediately senses something isn’t right.
She worries about Priya and wants to help, but will Priya let her in and accept the help she needs?

Priya’s struggles come after she witnessed Maya and Jacob Gallagher kissing on the Big Night Out.
Along with Leyla Harding and Tracy Metcalfe, Priya confronted Maya and they had a showdown in the woods.
But because Maya was attacked and left for dead, Priya couldn’t tell the police the truth about what she’d witnessed for fear of being sent down herself.
The lies meant Maya was only charged with inappropriate contact with a minor, but she still got sent down for a year.
Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with extra episodes on Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm on ITV.
