Emmerdale SPOILER: New love for Tracy and village bad boy

Time to properly move on from David

It looks like there could be romance heading for Emmerdale next week as Tracy Metcalfe finds herself a new love interest in the form of Billy Fletcher.

Ever since her marriage to David Metcalfe came to an end, Tracy has been somewhat unlucky in love. Even Ross Barton didn’t manage to work his charms on the B&B worker and she has remained single ever since.

But that seems set to change when next week’s Emmerdale sees Tracy grow closer to Jessie Dingle’s wayward son Billy.

Emmerdale fans will know that Billy has been caught up in plenty of drama since he arrived in the village.

Not only does he have issues with Aaron Dingle thanks to their time spent together in jail, but he is also struggling to get to grips with life on the outside after having just been released from prison.

Billy also has some serious sibling rivalry going on with his half brother Ellis… who was already living in Emmerdale with their mum Jessie when Billy arrived.

Last week we revealed the was between the brothers steps up a gear when Ellis tries to run Billy over in a van… not really the brotherly relationship Jessie was hoping her boys would have.

But could a romance with Tracy be what Billy needs to take his mind off fighting with his brother?

The pair both have family issues and strained relationships with their parents… they also both have slightly murky pasts that they’d probably rather not talk about.

Could this mean they have got something to bond over already?

Only time will tell if this is a flash in the pan romance or something that is set to last.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
