As the Sharma family pick up the pieces following the devastating factory fire in Emmerdale, Manpreet decides she has to leave the Dales.
Can anyone persuade her she has to stay and support the family?
Arguably, Manpreet is, at least in part, responsible for the mess the clan are in. Her spending habits caused Rishi to take money from the business to pay her debts.

As the factory was on the verge of collpase, heading for bankruptcy, Rishi took out a loan with Kim Tate. Big mistake.
The loan has such high interest rates, it was always going to be a challenge, but now the factory is merely burnt remains, they have no income at all to meet any of the repayments.
Both and Jai and his sister Priya are very suspicious of their dad and his new wife – wondering if they started the fire to claim on the insurance…
Jai is absolutely fuming with his father when he sits down and properly reads the terms of Kim’s loan and sees no way out.
When the factory staff ask about their wages, he loses his temper, and then later snaps at Rishi for the mess he’s caused.
Feeling the weight of guilt on her shoulders, Manpreet makes a decision: she’s leaving.
Rushing to pack her things, it’s apparent she doesn’t even plan so much as a goodbye to the man who gave her all he had.

Jai and Priya catch her mid-flee though and try to talk her round.
As they desperately beg her not to leave and to stay to support the family, will she listen? Or will she make a run for it?
Meanwhile, when Jai receives an email saying as the factory fire alarm was switched off, the insurance may not pay up, Kim ups the pressure to buy the factory herself.
Will he sell her his soul?
And what will Amy, who along with mum Kerry, started the fire, do next?
She’s struggling to contain her guilt over the whole sorry mess, but as she almost confesses, Kerry ends up framing another villager.
Who will get the blame for the blaze?
