Fans have suspected him of killing his first wife Lara

The sisters decided to snoop through Liam's bag and ended up finding a black balaclava, leaving the sisters stunned.

When Liam explained he had used it for a ski trip, Bernice's suspicions died down.

However, earlier this week Bernice began thinking her boyfriend was cheating on her after he came back from a patient's with a new shirt.

Nicola encouraged her to snoop through his briefcase in last night's episode (July 18 2019) and the sisters were horrified when they found a bloody shirt and scalpel with a picture of another woman.

Bernice was terrified of staying in the house alone with the doctor and told him he should sleep on the sofa as she was feeling unwell.

But in tonight's episode things take a dark turn when Liam bundles Bernice into a car and she is driven into the woods.

As she screams and begs not to be murdered, Nicola and her husband Jimmy chase after them to save Bernice.

In the woodland, Liam stands over a screaming Bernice but is stunned by her hysteria.

What's going on?

Some Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Liam killed his first wife and others are convinced he knew his second wife Maya was a paedophile.

Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursday on ITV.
