Cain Dingle was totally shell-shocked last night, when evil witch Kim Tate dropped the ultimate bombshell – that Joe Tate is alive.
But Cain’s disbelief was matched by the incredulity of Emmerdale viewers, who have called out the ITV soap for what they believe to be a major plot hole.

Emmerdale viewers found out last week that Joe Tate wasn’t killed by Cain OR Graham after all but is, in fact, alive and well and living incognito in Monte Carlo.
While fans were mostly thrilled to learn his pulse was still beating, nobody could be more relieved that Cain to discover he’s not a murderer after all.
Well, not of Joe at least!
On Thursday (28 March), the mechanic was shown the photo of Joe very much walking and talking and not dumped in the Hotten viaduct.

However, after Kim deleted the picture from her phone, she led Cain to believe there was no evidence of Joe being alive…
All this, because Kim is trying to blackmail Cain into having sex…
But baffled soap fans were quick to point out that Cain doesn’t need Kim’s evidence – the police would be able to find Joe!
One wrote: “So really all Cain needs to do is either find a detective to search for Joe, or contact the police and tell them about Kim’s phone… They can retrieve deleted photos and messages but no! This will drag on and on.”

Spoilers tell us that Graham Foster will go to the police next week, and tell them Joe is alive to stop Kim from murdering him.
But we’re sure evil Kim will have something else up her sleeve…
