Emmerdale viewers have been left emotional after Ross Barton left the village.
The fan-favourite mechanic decided too much had happened for him to have any kind of happy future in the village and left for a new life in Liverpool.
However he didn’t leave alone as girlfriend Rebecca White decided to go with him after Robert Sugden gave her his blessing to take baby Seb with them.
After agreeing to shared custody of their son Moses with Charity Dingle, Ross was given a warm send-off by everyone in the village.
He even made up with Debbie Dingle, the woman who accidentally caused him to be scarred with acid.
The rare happy ending for Ross and Rebecca, who had been through hell in the village, had viewers in tears.
