Emmerdale fans predict Jamie Tate will go evil after trying to scam mum Kim

The trainee vet is using his mum's playbook against her

Emmerdale fans are predicting Jamie Tate will turn evil when he tries to scam his mum Kim.

The gentle vet has evil in his genes from his soap super villain mum Kim Tate and he is planning to make it so he doesn’t have to work with her anymore.

She invested into the vets practice to help the business stay afloat and to ensure Jamie would have a job when he moved to the village.

But her time of trying to be a mother to him has backfired, with Jamie rejecting her at every stage.

And after discovering Kim had seduced Rhona’s boyfriend Pete Barton, Jamie was sickened and has teamed up with the couple and his own wife Andrea to take the business from her.

Andrea explained: “Jamie’s exams finish in a few weeks. All he’s got to do is persuade her that handing over her share of the business to him would be the perfect graduation present.

“She goes away soon so we’ve got a few weeks to work on our strategy to make sure Kim never sees it coming.”

However, Kim has proven herself as a ruthless and capable schemer and fans think there will be a twist in the plot when Jamie realises he’s more like her than he expected.

One said: “He will either get to like Kim while playing the doting son, or he will get a taste for the devious side and Kim will point out he is good at it, this will then make him turn into a villain as all the Tate’s started nice before going villain, except Joe who did the reverse and started villain and then went nice.

“Kim probably knows what they are up to but is playing them, and also knows it’s best chance she gets of spending time with her son.”

A second said on Digital Spy: “I’m not sure exactly how this scam can work though, Kim was always prepared to give James the vets.

“Him getting her to sign it over to him through means deception is pointless, it wouldn’t be much of a financial hit to her if it was a scam and giving James a property/business in Emmerdale is surely going to keep him there which is exactly what Kim wants but not what he wants which is to get back to where he moved away from.”

Another added: “The whole point Kim bought into the vets was in order for Jamie to have a reason to stay in the village and put down roots and have a job.

“This scam of Jamie having the vets is doing exactly that. I do hope Kim finds out and offers her share to Jamie before he asks her.”
