Emmerdale viewers were left shaken and upset after watching Cain Dingle brutally attack his wife Moira in last night’s episode.
On Wednesday (16 January), the mechanic lost control and raged against his shocked wife – smashing up the kitchen, pinning her to the fridge and punching a hole in the wall.

It’s not the first – or we expect the last – time Cain has shown a violent side, but viewers were disgusted he’d turned on a woman and blasted him for domestic violence.
Cain snapped when daughter Debbie realised that Moira knew about Joe Tate’s death too.
Although Moira tried to fix the situation, Debbie left distraught telling her Dad he was dead to her – and Cain took his rage out on the only remaining woman in his life…

Cain shouted at his wife for making the situation worse and started smashing up the kitchen, before lashing out at her and slamming her against the fridge.
When Matty walked in on this horrible scene, he shouted: “What is it with you and hurting your family? Only I just saw Debbie. What have you done to her?”
Cain then turned his anger on Matty, threatening to punch him in the face, but punched the wall instead.
After some heated words, Moira told Cain: “If you’re hellbent on hitting self destruct and bringing everyone else with you then I don’t want to watch. I’m done Cain.”
Is this the end for Cain and Moira?
Will Moira ever be able to forgive him for lashing out at her?
Fans were disturbed by the scenes, with one tweeting: “I know Cain feels bad for what he did but like… did he really need to almost beat his wife and stepson?? #emmerdale.”
