Fans of Emmerdale are fearful Rhona Goskirk's rapist ex-husband, Pierce Harris, will return soon.
Vet Rhona was terrorised by Pierce throughout their relationship culminating in a terrifying assault on their wedding night.
Back in summer 2017 Pierce was found guilty of raping Rhona on their wedding day.
He was sentenced to five years in prison meaning he will soon be up for parole when half his sentence has been served.
And it has made viewers convinced he will return to the village for revenge on Rhona - especially as it has been announced her boyfriend Graham will soon be murdered.
One said: "#Emmerdale Rhonas finally doing ok for herself!
"But if I was predict an upcoming storyline I'd say Pierce will be back soon!"
Another said: "Mmmmm so is that Pierce going to be released from prison soon and spoil the Rhona/Graham happiness?? #Emmerdale"
A third added: "Rhona's happy and that can't last long in Emmerdale."
Pierce's return would come at a time when her love Graham is already in danger from Kim Tate who is determined to get rid of him once and for all after discovering he could be her granddaughter Millie's biological father.
Could Pierce return and kill Graham to get back at the woman who survived him and made sure he faced justice for his crimes?
It has already been announced that Graham will be murdered next month in a murder mystery storyline.
Speaking about the upcoming story, show producer Laura Shaw said: "Graham's murder will form part of an unmissable week of drama packed full of exciting twists and turns.
"It's always exciting to step outside of our usual storytelling style and viewers will be on the edge of their seats as some of our villagers have their lives changed forever.
"Graham has been a huge character at the heart of some of our biggest storylines so it felt only fitting that he left us with an enormous, explosive bang to kick off what promises to be a massive year of drama for Emmerdale."
