Emmerdale fans have become increasingly repulsed and sickened by Maya Stepney’s calculated grooming of schoolboy Jacob Gallagher, who is not only a minor but also her boyfriend’s son.
Never more so than last night (Tuesday 15 January), when Maya stepped up her campaign of abuse by targeting another young victim.

This in the same episode as she paraded around in a towel in front of her young admirer – AND received more topless photos from him.
Emmerdale viewers were horrified as Maya was seen to be encouraging underage Jacob to send her indecent images of himself – illegal and just so wrong.
But, when the predatory teacher accidentally left her phone in boyfriend David Metcalfe’s shop, she rushed to get it back – fearing the incriminating photos would be discovered.

If she were found out, it would mean the end of her relationship, her career and – probably – her life as a free woman.
Arriving at the shop, Maya saw Amba playing with her phone and, horrified, snatched it away from her in a rage – as David and Priya looked on in shock.
Lashing out at those around her for allowing the young girl to play with her phone, Maya quickly realised she’d let her guard down and lied to save her skin – saying she was expecting an important phone call.
But now Priya has had her suspicions roused, could Maya be one step closer to being found out!?
Emmerdale viewers expressed their horror at Maya on Twitter, with one typing: “Couldn’t dislike a character as much as I do Maya.”
Another said: “Does anyone know when Maya is getting caught out? I can’t take it anymore.”
A third added: “Wish this Maya & Jacob storyline would end.”

Others called the storyline “stomach-turning”, “cringe”, “gross” and “disgusting”, while one said: “The Maya/Jacob story on Emmerdale is freaking me out.”
Will fans get what they want – Maya to be caught and Jacob to be freed from her manipulative clutches?
And who will discover Maya’s worrying actions? Could it be David, Tracy or Priya who stumble upon the truth…?
