It looks like Emmerdale is in for an explosive summer and autumn as Moira and Nate will begin an affair which will be exposed towards the end of the year.
Moira and Nate will have a “full blown affair” over the summer months behind Cain’s back, but it will all fall apart once they are exposed.
Teasing the storyline, Emmerdale producer Kate Brookes said: “Those of you with eyes might have sensed that there is something going on with Nate and Moira, they’re looking over the hay bales at each other and there’s a lot of changed moments.
“It might come as no surprise to hear that they will be having a full blown affair.
“It’s going to be dangerous, it’s going to be very steamy, it’s going to ruffle a lot of feathers in the village.
“Obviously Moira is married to Cain who is the ultimate bad boy, so when he does find out, it will be explosive and there will be lots of drama and ramifications for all of our characters involved.”
Kate then went on to reveal that the affair will be exposed in October.
“We’re really going to get to the core of why this affair has happened, and the consequences to it.
“This will all come to a massive head in October, we like to do out big week in October. Honestly, it’s going to be a massive week of drama, it’s going to be very story led, there’s going to be a lot of tears, action and heartbreak.”
Nate first arrived in Emmerdale a couple of months ago, shortly after kissing Pete’s girlfriend, now fiancée, Rhona Goskirk on the Big Night Out.
Since his arrival, he’s had a one-night stand with Kerry Wyatt and Tracy Metcalfe and recently started seeing Kerry’s daughter Amy.
In last night’s episode (July 9 2019) Amy was left furious when her drunk mother kissed Nate.

Emmerdale teased chemistry between the pair a couple of weeks ago when the Barton matriarch was about to walk out of The Woolpack without taking her phone with her and Nate jumped up to hand it over.
As their hands touched, the moment lasted a smidgen too long with them staring into each other’s eyes.

Some viewers have also predicted Nate is the son of Moira’s husband Cain and others are convinced he is Cain’s brother Nathan’s son, making Nate Cain’s nephew.
Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursday on ITV.
